Job Description

Our fantastic client, in Nottingham City Centre, are looking for a Buyer to join their friendly team. Our client are only considering candidates from retail and hard and finished goods backgrounds.

£40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
Monday to Friday.
Office based


Buyer – The Role:

  • Negotiate commercial terms including prices, rebates, payment terms, delivery timescales, promotional contributions along with stocking incentives & product support.
  • Liaising with potential suppliers to source new products
  • Monitor stock sales and negotiate with suppliers on less successful products
  • Process all invoices in a timely manner
  • Liaising with external marketing services to coordinate product placement opportunities.
  • Source new products from potential suppliers
  • Provide sales forecasts to suppliers and keep on top of stock availability and ordering
  
Buyer – The Candidate:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar purchasing environment.
  • You must have experience in a retail, hard and finished goods environment
  • Knowledge of tools
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and positively contribute within a team environment
  • Manage supplier relationships and keeping abreast of any pricing or service issues
  • Excellent attention to detail with high levels of precision, communicating clearly & succinctly at all levels.
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Able to commute to Nottingham City Centre.
