Job Description
Our fantastic client, in Nottingham City Centre, are looking for a Buyer to join their friendly team. Our client are only considering candidates from retail and hard and finished goods backgrounds.
£40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
Monday to Friday.
Office based

Buyer – The Role:
- Negotiate commercial terms including prices, rebates, payment terms, delivery timescales, promotional contributions along with stocking incentives & product support.
- Liaising with potential suppliers to source new products
- Monitor stock sales and negotiate with suppliers on less successful products
- Process all invoices in a timely manner
- Liaising with external marketing services to coordinate product placement opportunities.
- Source new products from potential suppliers
- Provide sales forecasts to suppliers and keep on top of stock availability and ordering
Buyer – The Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar purchasing environment.
- You must have experience in a retail, hard and finished goods environment
- Knowledge of tools
- A self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks
- Ability to communicate at all levels and positively contribute within a team environment
- Manage supplier relationships and keeping abreast of any pricing or service issues
- Excellent attention to detail with high levels of precision, communicating clearly & succinctly at all levels.
- Good negotiation skills
- Able to commute to Nottingham City Centre.
