Job Description

My client are seeking an Accounts Clerk to join their team in Mansfield as a Legal Cashier.
 
You will manage financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record of managing financial processes, preferably within a legal setting.
 
Responsibilities:

• Process all financial transactions related to the firm’s operations, including client transactions, disbursements, and expenses.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and process client bills in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and manage the firm’s petty cash transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address any financial discrepancies and provide support in audits.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and legal finance practices.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier would be advantageous but isnt essential. 
• Thorough understanding of legal accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficient in relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with relevant legal software and technology.
