Job Description

Our leading client, based in the Shepshed area, are looking for an Technical Support Engineer to join their team. You will provide effective technical support to a network of distributors, staff and end users. You will be joining a friendly office environment, in a role where customer service is key.

Monday to Friday.
£30,000 depending on experience
23 days holiday + bank holidays

Technical Support Engineer – The Role:
  • Prioritise and process customer queries and requests submitted by telephone, email or live chat
  • Be the main point for technical advice for all stakeholders
  • Work with the wider customer services team to deliver technical advice and solutions
  • Chase all queries whilst keeping the customer informed throughout
  • Ensure all administration is completed to a high level
  • Use the database systems and technology to deliver great customer service
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned by Customer Service Manager
  • Implement the Company returns and warranty processes
  • Identify and highlight opportunities to enhance the Customer Experience
Technical Support Engineer – The Candidate:
  • Wide ranging technical knowledge including Mechanical and Electrical engineering
  • Experience dealing directly with individual customers by phone to give technical advice
  • Comfortable in looking through technical drawings to identify faults and offer solutions
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Windows
  • Enthusiasm & an excellent team player
  • Excellent telephone manner with the ability to communicate effectively
