Job Description

Our leading client, based in Derby, are looking for a Mortgage Quality Assessor to join their friendly team. You will provide a vital support function for advisers, business owners and their field team, as well as mitigating risk to the business. You must hold full CeMap or equivalent and have an excellent understanding of the current mortgage and protection market.

Mortgage Quality Assessor – The Role:
  • Conduct Advice Quality Reviews – assessing advice documentation and providing feedback to individuals and business owners.
  • Ensure that any remedial actions are completed within required timescales.
  • Contribute to management information on advice quality outputs and issues.
  • Help to identify trends and support Board decision on risk management.
  • Provide a second line of support to advisers, business owners and field compliance managers on process and policy queries.
  • Support business change through input into system and proves changes that affect Compliance.
  • Maintain the database, audit trails and produce MI

Mortgage Quality Assessor – The Candidate:
  • Fully CeMap qualified or equivalent
  • A methodical, logical approach, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines, maintaining quality of advice at all times.
  • A clear and consistent approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team.
  • A self-motivated and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Sound IT skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Recent and relevant industry experience, this could be in either advising within a regulatory role or compliance function
