Job Description
We are looking for a Cost Controller to join our Alfreton based client. You will be authorising service and maintenance repair costs. This is a full time, permanant role.Monday- Friday
£28,000
The Role:
- Authorise service and maintenance repair costs in alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Analyse mechanical failures, assess solutions, and make well-informed decisions based on technical knowledge.
- Negotiate cost-effective solutions while understanding the potential impact on VOR (Vehicle Off Road).
- Select qualified suppliers for service and repair work, ensuring they offer the most cost-effective options.
- Manage warranty, damage, and customer recharge processes effectively.
- Maintain accurate records across multiple platforms and ensure data is always up to date.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer literate with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Technical knowledge or previous experience in the automotive / transport industry is advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with customers and third parties.
